Any chance you can put out a request for anyone who knows a family member of Richard Huerta, if they could email me at brucehodgin@yahoo.com? When I was a reserve officer, for my final in photography exam, I took a picture of Richard. When on the department, Richard was one of my training officers. After he was killed, I had an artist friend of mine turn the photo into a large painting, using a new black and white painting method the artist had developed.. I eventually gave the painting to Richard’s mother after loaning it to the police department for many years.

The artist recently died and his wife is putting together a book on his work. She has a couple of simple questions about the painting so she can include the answers in the book.  By now Richard’s mother has most likely also passed away. Hopefully a family member has retained the painting and can help the wife with her research.
